‘Revolutions per Minute’ (‘RPM’) is an album created by independent musician Kultar Ahluwalia (‘Koolta’) in 2015, playing on themes of change and political revolution in addition to the rotary movement of a record.
The album artwork for RPM utilised an eco-digipack format, and included a 12-page booklet which further solidified the album’s style. The design incorporated spot-UV and included subtle patent diagrams of rotary mechanisms to add scope to the release’s name and meaning.
All merchandise and advertising for the album followed the same branding as the packaging, with promotion incorporating posters / fliers, clothing, stickers, paste-ups and promotional video for use on social media.
In addition to the print and packaging requirements for RPM, a kinetic typography music video was created for the single ‘A Couple of Words’.
